The playlist consisted of 358 unique audio tracks purchased from the iTunes Store (256 Kbps AAC encoding). Volume was set to 50% and Spatial Audio was disabled. Testing involved fully discharging the AirPods while playing audio until one of the AirPods stopped playing. The drained AirPods were charged to 100%, then audio playback was resumed until one of the AirPods stopped playing. This cycle was repeated until both AirPods and the charging case were fully discharged. Battery life depends on device settings, environment, usage, and many other factors.

This product, including the charging case, was tested under controlled laboratory conditions and has a rating of IP54 under IEC standard 60529. Dust, sweat, and water resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance may decrease with normal wear. Do not attempt to charge when wet; see cleaning and drying instructions.
